2019 Dassiekop Steen

For me, this is the best Chenin Blanc or Steen vineyard and site in the Swartland. The rare combination of a perfect match between site, grape variety and age of the vines really shines through in this wine. Exceptional mouthfeel, texture, freshness and fruit concentration are the norm for this site. This wine is not bottled annually.
The winemaking is quite simple when working with fantastic grapes from old vineyards. The total yield of the vineyard is about 0.5 tons/ha. The grapes are pressed and filled into older barrels for fermentation and maturation. Bottles produced: 1,520.
