2020 Meerlust Merlot

Deep ruby red color with purple reflections. Wonderful fruit aromas with ripe cherries, plums and dark berries, accompanied by balsamic notes, dark chocolate and liquorice. The palate is concentrated, full-bodied and spicy with a fine minerality. The wine is wonderfully balanced and its lively acidity is well integrated. Its velvety tannins accompany the long finish.

Recommendation: Drink at 16-18 degrees Celsius, open 1 hour before serving, decant if necessary. Ideal with roasted or grilled dark meat dishes with strong sauces, as well as mature cheese. Optimal drinking maturity until 2032.
