2014 Châteauneuf du Pape Charles Giraud

Full ruby red color. Deeply perfumed, smoky aromas of stewed cherry, boysenberry, anise and garrigue, complicated by a potpourri blossom. Juicy, expansive and appealingly sweet, with intense flavors of red and blue fruit liqueur and a hint of floral pastille. Youthful tannins build slowly to an impressively long, concentrated finish that leaves a sexy lavender note.
