2021 NIERSTEIN Riesling dry

Ripe pome and stone fruit, such as apples and fully ripe pears as well as white peaches are spicy and balanced by fine herbal notes of lemon thyme, tarragon and long red pepper. Nierstein's distinctive minerality slumbers underneath like a pulsating bass. Super-juicy with rich extract and tart, contoured phenolics, it has a viscous, almost oily feel and a firm grip on the palate. On the palate, it alternates between creamy melting and delicately salty minerality.

Recommendation: Serve chilled at 9-10 degrees Celsius as an aperitif, goes well with light starters, salads with roasted nuts and fried mushrooms, asparagus dishes, fried fish or fine poultry.
