2019 Quinta de Ervamoira Douro

The 2019 Quinta de Ervamoira Douro DOC was fermented in traditional granite lagares and matured for 18 months in wooden barrels. 25% in new barriques, 25% in one-year-old barriques and 50% in large oak barrels. Tasting: Garnet color with bright red reflections. Aromas of forest floor, blackberries and raspberries. When it opens in the glass, it gains new energy with fresh aromas of red fruits, violets and cistus. In a third phase, aromas of spices and a smoky nuance are added, which come from the very well-integrated oak maturation, so that the characteristics of the Quinta de Ervamoira vineyards are wonderfully accentuated. Very fresh and with a fruity expression that conquers us. A long and lively finish with very silky tannins.

Recommendation: A perfect partner for grilled red meat. Perfect with saddle of venison, wild boar with chestnuts or oven-baked cod.
