Our LBV is matured for 4 to 6 years in large wooden casks. The type of vinification and ageing is carried out in accordance with the source material: selected Port wines from a single vintage that are full-bodied and of high quality. The Late Bottled Vintage is a port wine category that became popular in the 1960s - it filled the gap between the Ruby and Vintage Ports. The longer maturation of the LBV is responsible for the fact that these port wines present themselves with beautiful maturity and a rounded style: they can be enjoyed in their youth, shortly after bottling.
