A very exciting wine, this Mercurey 1er Cru from Faiveley. Grown in the Cote Chalonnaise, just south of the Cote d'Or, it shows plenty of juice and power, which is somewhat buffered by the beautifully present, finely chiseled acidity. Wonderful cherry notes on the nose make it a typical wine of clear origin. A wine for lovers of elegant, delicate Burgundy.
