The 2017 Pinot Noir Falstaff Vineyard is another rich, dense wine in this lineup from Kutch. The Falstaff is the wildest and most flavorful of these Pinots. Game, tobacco, crushed leaves and smoke add to the earthy, wild personality of the wine. Again, the 100% whole bunches are beautifully woven into the fabric of the wine. I would give the 2017 at least a couple years in bottle to soften the tannins a bit. There is plenty of suppleness in the fruit waiting to unfold.
