2022 Wachenheimer Rechbächel P.C. Riesling dry

A fine reduction on the nose over restrained yellow fruit, with exciting, stony, mineral expressiveness. The fruit is limited to a little apricot and lime zest, with hints of quince and damp tobacco. There is also a lot of dark minerality, smoky, chalky and impressive depth. The wine shows great density and concentration, immense mineral tension and a ripe acid structure. A highly intense, salty, incredibly gripping Riesling from red sandstone, but it needs time to become accessible.

Recommendation: At 14 degrees Celsius, a perfect partner for exotic cuisine.
