2016 Barolo Brunate

Ceretto has produced a great, opulent Barolo from the famous Brunate vineyard. Deep color, great aromatic complexity and intensity as well as a powerful structure are characteristic of the 2015 Brunate. Ceretto then adds the typical elegance and finesse. The palate is tightly meshed, the fullness of flavour harmonizes perfectly with the tannins, remarkable structure and depth (matured for 12 months in barriques and 22 months in large wooden barrels), with an almost endless finish. Recommendation: A wonderful wine. Serve decanted at 18 degrees Celsius, goes well with hearty meat dishes such as rack of lamb with a strong jus, braised ox cheeks with truffle and celery mousse, fine game birds or spicy cheeses. Optimum drinking maturity until 2029.
