As always, the nose is a little more reserved than most wines, but this is noble, fine and extremely profound, black fruit as noble as you could imagine, this fragrance does not push itself to the fore, but goes straight to the heart, in this so delicate fragrance is an incredible radiance. On the palate, the astonishing sweetness is surprising, the wine is bursting with fresh fruit as always, but it has rarely been so deliciously sweet before, the harmony is total, the hot vintage gives the wine an additional dimension, making it just a touch fuller, yet it remains wonderfully slender and playfully light-footed. This is a variety of Cabernet Franc that I have rarely experienced, but somehow I feel that this gives the wine additional potential, it can easily cope with a slightly higher degree of ripeness, making it ready to enjoy a little earlier without losing its ripening potential.
