2017 Don Maximiano Founder's Reserve

A beautiful ruby red color with violet reflections. The 2017 Don Maximiano Founder's Reserve impresses with aromas reminiscent of red fruits such as cherries and raspberries. Further back, beautiful notes of cocoa and clove appear, culminating in a note reminiscent of violets. In line with what was perceived on the nose, the palate offers cherries, raspberries and cassis as well as the sweet notes of cocoa and clove. It is a generous wine with a broad entry, with good tension and juiciness that provide freshness, framed by ripe tannins that envelop the mouth wonderfully, with a long and very pleasant finish.

Recommendation: Serve decanted at 16-18 degrees Celsius, it goes very well with Provençal lamb ribs coated with Parmesan, grilled ostrich or beef fillet coated with herbs, as well as medium-strong cheeses. We recommend decanting this wine when it is young. Depending on how it is stored, it will remain at the top level until at least 2030.
