The small, fine Marc Brédif winery in Rochecorbin, approx. 10 km from Tours, was founded in 1893 and taken over by Baron de Ladoucette over 40 years ago. In addition to the very fine Muscadet, exciting wines / sparkling wines from the Vouvray appellation are produced here. The Muscadet "sur lie" is a real treat. In order to be allowed to bear the quality designation "sur lie", the Muscadet must be subject to stricter yield restrictions and remain in contact with the fermentation yeast after fermentation until at least the beginning of March of the year following the harvest. This longer contact with the yeast gives the wine a more complex aroma and greater freshness.

Muscadet is light yellow in the glass with light green reflections. A fine bouquet with nuances of lime, pear, orange and citrus, fine yeast notes flow into the nose. Elegant body on the palate, beautiful minerality and plenty of expression. Top quality, one of the best in the appellation.

Recommendation: Serve well chilled at 8 degrees Celsius as an aperitif or for a nice evening with friends. It also goes very well with light starters, canapés with cream cheese and smoked salmon, light air-dried ham or ripe strawberries.
