The 2020 Côtes Du Roussillon Villages L'Amourette, a Mourvèdre-dominated blend of 60 % Mourvèdre and 40 % Grenache, aged in concrete tanks, really appealed to me. Blackberries, leather, dried meat and spices give way to a wonderfully structured, medium to full-bodied red wine with fine tannins and a seamless mouthfeel. It is incredibly well made and one of the most outstanding wines in the Calvet range.
