Jassarte is a wine with an ancient spirit and at the same time very innovative. It comes from the old pre-vineyard tradition of a mixed set. In the past, wine was not identified with a variety and its characteristics as it is today. It was the expression of an unrepeatable vineyard, made up of several grapes selected to bring out particular balances and identities, or coming from a simple family stratification. The co-fermentation of several varieties creates a synergy that develops absolutely unbalanced aroma and flavor profiles in the wine. "Jassarte is a borderland between past and present, a reminder of how wine has been made for thousands of years. Jassarte is a borderland between East and West, an ideal place for the exchange of infinite knowledge, vines, tools and dreams that have always been the history of the vine and wine. "VINE VARIETIES: It is a mixed set from the Campo Giardino vineyard with about 30 red grape varieties, traditional local and from other Mediterranean areas. We have selected them by studying the most suitable varieties for the territory, which complement each other to create a symphony of extraordinary complexity. VINEYARDS: The vineyards are located in the Bolgheri hills, on the first slopes of the Segalari hill, in a small valley facing east-west, crossed by the Fossa di Bolgheri stream. We cultivate them with experience, care and attention to the environment, using sustainable integrated viticulture systems. CLIMATE: mild Mediterranean, dry and windy.
