2020 Gigondas

A violet color in the glass. Intense aromas on the nose, aromas dominated by local fruits such as peach and apricot combined with liquorice and notes of undergrowth. The palate is generous, powerful and full-bodied with a long, elegant finish. Overall impression: Open attack, racy with a soft tannin structure.

Recommendation: Serve at 17 degrees Celsius, decant if possible and open an hour beforehand, then the wine will unfold its full potential. A great wine with a lot of power, it goes excellently with braised beef, game dishes with a spicy, strong sauce and fruit components, e.g. chocolate sauce with stewed cherries.
