2020 Zind

Pale yellow in color. The nose shows the strong influence of limestone: mineral, stony, citrus fruit and, after some aeration, some white fruit (peach). The wine was fermented in a large recent oak barrel (foudre) and remained on the lees until bottling. On the palate it is quite austere, bone dry, with a racy, tasty acidity that gives a juicy texture on the finish. The wine has a nice concentration, but because it is bone dry and has a ripe acidity, it comes across as elegant and delicate.
