2014 Petit Gravet Ainé

60% Cabernet Franc, 40% Cabernet Franc. 100% new wood. Impenetrable purple color with almost black reflections. The nose is intoxicating, not an orgy but still characterized by lots of beautifully ripe fruit, blue to black berries in every form and a spicy note of great black tea underneath. Dense on the palate, much finer than the Clos Saint Julien (from the same estate) and with a velvety texture through to the long, concentrated finish. Never before has the P-G-A been so classic, while retaining its greatness.
