The juice always takes a long time to ferment and the resulting wine has a wonderful minerality. Due to the low yields and the age of the vines, it is obviously structured and deep in flavor. It has a complex, flinty flavor profile and we suspect it can age quite well.
The single vineyard was planted in 1966 on decomposed granite soils and is located right next to the "kelder", which means cellar in Afrikaans. About 1400 liters of juice are extracted from the 1.2 hectares. The taste of the grapes from this vineyard tends towards pomegranate and apricot. Bottles produced: 1,620 units.
