2020 Meerlust Cabernet Sauvignon

The Meerlust Cabernet Sauvignon has an intense, vibrant purple color with a slight gradation at the edge. On the nose, the wine shows pronounced plum and classic cedar cigar box notes with accentuated dark fruit aromas. There are the characteristic Meerlust Cabernet aromas of fennel and licorice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with typical fruit richness and supple tannin structure. Accessible even in its youth, but the intensity, harmony and balance promise maturation over the next few years.

Recommendation: Serve decanted at 17 degrees Celsius, goes well with spicy meat dishes with dark meat, braised meats such as leg of lamb, shoulder of beef, ox cheeks, roasted game birds and mature hard cheese. We recommend enjoying this wine until 2029.
