2016 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut Brion

The 2016 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion is a blend of 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36.5% Merlot and 21.5% Cabernet Franc. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it smells of red roses, black tea and plowed black earth with a core of crushed blackberries, morello cherries and cassis and a hint of cinnamon stick. On the palate, it shows great intensity of ripe black berries and floral layers, framed by soft, silky tannins and seamless freshness, with a long, mineral finish.
