2016 Clerc Milon

The Cabernet Franc was fantastic this year, so it was used entirely for the Grand Vin. The final blend consists of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Carménère. The 2016 Clerc Milon has a deep garnet-purple color and exudes beautiful aromas of chocolate-covered cherries, plum jam and crushed black currants with hints of lilac, cardamom, underbrush and unsmoked cigars in the glass. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a firm frame of fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness that lifts the perfumed fruit to a lovely long finish.
