2018 Gaisböhl Riesling tr. G.C. Monopol

A very pithy, concise Gaisböhl, floral on the nose with an aroma of mirabelle plum and a subtle herbal note, pithy stone fruit on the palate. Very precise fruit and straightforward structure. The powerful yet light body of the Gaisböhl is wonderfully embedded in a ripe acidity structure and a powerful, very long finish.

Recommendation: Serve chilled at 9 degrees Celsius, goes very well with grilled crustaceans, stuffed Bresse pigeon, roasted loup de mer with creamy truffle risotto or mature Vacherin cheese. Although this wine is already proving its greatness today, it still has a great future ahead of it.
